Chef d'Orchestre. Il débuta ses études musicales avec son père, qui était professeur de vilon au Conservatoire Bruckner ; plus tard, il étudia le piano ainsi que la direction à l'Académie de Musique de Graz, dont il fut diplômé en 1971. Il participa à la master classe de Franci Ferrera et Sergiu Celibidache, et, en 1972, il gagna sa scolarité avec Arvid Yansons. ...(Cf : CD Scheherazade)
