L'Orchestre Symphonique Municipal d'Osaka (OMSB) a été crée en 1923 à la demande de la population. Elle est la formation professionnelle la plus ancienne du Japon et a été récompensée par de nombreux prix internationaux. \nCet ensemble se produit régulièrement en concert et dans différents festivals. Parmi ses activités, on retrouve des enregistrements d'Ûuvres nouvelles de compositeurs japonais. Plusieurs chefs et solistes ont \nété invités par l'orchestre permettant ainsi la création de plus de 50 oeuvres au Japon. (source : traduction CD: Gloriosa - BOCD-7402 édité chez Brain)
