Patrick H. Hahn est né en 1995 à Graz en Autriche. Suite à des contacts permanents avec l'opéra comme chanteur durant sa jeunesse, il a écrit sa première composition, un opéra, à l'âge de douze ans. Depuis la création de cet opéra sous sa direction en 2008, il a obtenu de nombreux prix de composition en Autriche et à l'étranger. Pour Ameraustrica, sa première composition pour orchestre d'harmonie, il a reçu le 2ème prix du concours "Penfield Music Commission Project Contest 2013" à New York (États-Unis). parmi les 170 candidats venus du monde entier.Durant sa jeunesse scolaire, il a étudié le piano avec Maria Zgubic de 2006 à 2012, puis la direction d'orchestre à l'Université de Graz. Patrick H. Hahn a aussi dirigé des concerts et des créations en Amérique du Nord. Il a également obtenu des prix comme pianiste de jazz lors de festivals à La Crosse (Wisconsin) et Chicago (Illinois) où il a reçu le "Outstanding Soloist Award" (Prix de soliste exceptionnel) de l'Université de Wisconsin-La Crosse, en tant que meilleur pianiste de jazz du 37e festival annuel de jazz. Son activité artistique se complète par des commandes de plusieurs institutions et festivals. Il est compositeur, pianiste, chef d'orchestre et chef de choeurs.Born 1995 in Graz, Austria. From a young age he received his first vocal training and gathered musical experience as a soloist in various opera houses throughout Austria. Continuous contact to this musical milieu led him to write his first composition- an opera. Premiere of „Die Frittatensuppe“ (‘The Pancake Soup’) under his direction in 2008 followed by a rerun later on in a revised version. In 2009, he received the 2nd prize at the International Composition Competition in Siegburg, Germany. Finalist at the Composition Competitions of the Austrian Composers’ Society in 2010 & 2013 as well as 2nd Prize from 170 entries worldwide with “Ameraustrica” in the 2013 Penfield Music Commission Project Contest (New York, USA). From 2006 to 2012 he studied Piano with Mag. Maria Zgubic and, as of 2012 Conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria. Commissions from organizations including the International Festival of Chamber Music Raumberg, Austria, the Festival for Modern Art “Regionale10”, the Styrian Youth Choir “CantAnima”, the Graz Boys Choir, and the “Styrian Tone Arts Association”.Patrick Hahn spent the school year 2011/12 as an exchange student in Apple Valley, Minnesota (USA). Commissions and world premieres under his baton with the local Wind Ensemble (“Ameraustrica”) and Concert Choir (“When You Are Old”) brought him recognition in America and important international experience. Significant contact with Jazz music and musicians earned him experience and Solo Awards in Jazz Piano at Jazz Festivals including Chicago/ Illinois and La Cross/ Wisconsin as best jazz pianist of the 37th Annual Jazz Festival.Ameraustrica was chosen by the Austrian Wind Band Association as a compulsory piece for Austrian Wind Bands for the competitive concert season 2013/14.Patrick Hahn is member of the “Austrian Composers’ Society”, the “Styrian Tone Arts Association”, and since 2011 musical director of the Choir Kirchenchor Laßnitzhöhe, Austria.Geboren 1995 in Graz. Bereits in jungen Jahren erste Gesangsausbildung und Soloauftritte an diversen Opernhäusern in Österreich. Stetige Kontakte zur Oper veranlassten ihn, mit 12 Jahren seine erste Komposition zu verfassen- eine Oper. Uraufführung jener „Die Frittatensuppe“ unter seiner Leitung im Jahr 2008, sowie später in revidierter Fassung. 2009 erhielt er den 3. Preis beim Internationalen Kompositionswettbewerb der Kreisstadt Siegburg (Deutschland). Finalist beim „Jugend komponiert“ Wettbewerb des ÖKB in den Jahren 2010 und 2013 sowie 2. Preis aus 170 Einsendungen weltweit mit seinem Werk „Ameraustrica“ beim 2013 Penfield Music Commission Project Contest (New York, USA). 2006 bis 2012 im Hochbegabten- und Vorbereitungslehrgang für Klavier bei Mag. Maria Zgubic sowie seit 2012 Dirigierstudium an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz. Kompositionsaufträge von den Internationalen Kammermusiktagen Raumberg, dem Kulturfestival „Regionale10“, dem Steir. Landesjugendchor „CantAnima“, den Grazer Kapellknaben, sowie vom „Steirischen Tonkünstlerbund“.Das Schuljahr 2011/12 verbrachte er als Austauschschüler in Apple Valley, Minnesota (USA). Kompositionsaufträge für und Uraufführungen unter seinem Dirigat mit dem hiesigem Sinfonischen Blasorchester („Ameraustrica“) sowie für den Konzertchor („When You Are Old“) brachten ihm musikalische Anerkennung in Amerika und unbeschreiblich wichtige Erfahrungen im Ausland. Bedeutende Kontakte mit Jazz Musik und Musikern brachten ihm Fertigkeiten und Solo Auszeichnungen in Jazz Klavier bei Jazz Festivals in La Crosse/Wisconsin sowie Chicago/Illinois; u.a. den „Outstanding Soloist Award“ der University of Wisconsin-La Crosse als bester Jazz Pianist des 37th Annual Jazz Festivals.Sein Werk „Ameraustrica“ ist Pflichtstück des ÖBV in der Saison 2013-2014, Leistungsstufe D.Patrick Hahn ist Mitglied beim „Österreichischen Komponistenbund“, beim „Steirischen Tonkünstlerbund“, sowie seit 2011 musikalischer Leiter des Kirchenchores Laßnitzhöhe.
