Auteur Gavin LENDT

Commentaire :

Born in Silver Springs, Maryland, Gavin holds a B.S. and M.M. degree from Northwest Missouri State University. He is currently a graduate student at the University of Kansas studying composition with professor James Barnes. From 2004 – 2006 he served as a graduate assistant for the University of Kansas bands with Dr. John Lynch, Director of Bands.His music is known for incorporating rich harmonies and dramatic counter lines. Both students and teachers find his music to be accessible and enjoyable to play. He has received several commissions throughout the United States including a grant from the Iowa Arts Council. An avid horn player, Gavin performs with the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble, the KU Orchestra and is principal horn for the Lawrence City Band under the direction of Robert Foster.
