Georges Moreau est né en 1968 à Bree (B). Après ses humanités et la formation qu’il a suivie à l’Académie de musique de Genk, il a étudié successivement aux Conservatoires Royaux de Musique de Bruxelles et d’Anvers. Il y a obtenu au total six Premiers Prix ainsi que le diplôme pédagogique de Jeu d’ensemble.Il a terminé ses études supérieures en musique à l’Institut Lemmens de Louvain en 1998, après avoir obtenu le diplôme de ‘Maître de musique’ pour tuba basse et le Diplôme supérieur en direction de fanfares, tous deux avec Grande Distinction.En 1990, Moreau a été engagé comme professeur de musique de chambre à l’Académie de musique de Tongres et au Conservatoire de musique d’Hasselt et en 1999, il était convié comme professeur invité au Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Bruxelles.Georges Moreau a commencé à diriger très jeune. Il dirige actuellement l’orchestre philharmonique ‘Concordia van 1839’ de Hilvarenbeek, avec lequel il est devenu Champion national en 2005 dans la section supérieure et à la ‘Heinekenfanfare’ de Den Bosch. Il est régulièrement sollicité pour faire partie des membres de jury lors de concours et festivals et se produit souvent comme chef d’orchestre invité. Jusqu’à présent, il a fait montre de ses talents dans pratiquement tous les pays d’Europe et aux Etats-Unis.En juillet 1997 et 2001, Moreau a participé avec succès au prestigieux ‘Concours WMC’ (Concours international de chefs d’orchestres de musique du monde) à Kerkrade.Depuis 1998, il collabore avec l’éditeur musical Beriato. Ce dernier publie tous ses arrangements et orchestrations pour fanfares et l’a engagé en 2000 en tant que producteur et régisseur musical pour l’enregistrement de ses CD. Ainsi, il a déjà enregistré avec le Rundfunk Blasorchester Leipzig, The Danish Concertband, le Grand Orchestre Philharmonique des Guides de Belgique, The Swiss Symphonic Wind Band, l’Orchestre philharmonique flamand, l’Orchestre-Fanfare flamand, das Polizei Musikkorps Badem-Württemberg, l’Orchestre philharmonique du Conservatoire d’Anvers, le Belgian Brass, et beaucoup d’autres.Georges Moreau was born in 1968 in the Belgian town of Bree. After his secondary education and extensive training at the music academy of Genk, he studied at the Royal Music Conservatory in Brussels and Antwerp consecutively. He obtained a total of six First Prizes and a Teaching Diploma.In 1998, he completed his higher music education at the Lemmen Institute in Leuven where he graduated as a Master of Music for bass tuba and was awarded an advanced diploma in brass band management, both with High Distinction.In 1990, Moreau was appointed teacher at the music academy in Tongeren and at the Music Conservatory of Hasselt. In 1999, he was invited to be guest professor at the Royal Music Conservatory in Brussels.He began conducting at a very young age. He is currently conductor of the “Concordia van 1839” brass band orchestra in Hilvarenbeek where he won the national championship in 2005 in the advanced category and is also conductor of the Heineken brass band in Den Bosch. He is regularly invited as a jury member for competitions and festivals and he also often performs as a guest conductor. He has already played in nearly all European countries as well as the USA.In July 1997 and 2001, Moreau successfully participated in the prestigious International Conductors Competition of the World Music Competition (WMC) in Kerkrade.Since 1998, Moreau has been associated with music publisher Beriato, which publishes his works for wind orchestras and appointed him as producer and music director for the company’s CD recordings in 2000. He has also worked with the Rundfunk Brass Band Orchestra of Leipzig, The Danish Concert Band, the Groot Harmonieorkest van de Belgische Gidsen, the Swiss Symphonic Wind Band, the Flemish Brass Band Orchestra, the Polizei Musikkorps of Badem-Würtemberg, the wind band orchestra of the Antwerp Conservatory, Belgian Brass, etc.Georges Moreau wurde 1968 in de belgischen Stadt Bree geboren. Nach seinem Abitur und dem umfangreichen Musikunterricht an der Musikakademie in Genk, u.a. bei M. Van Mechelen nahm er sein Studium erst am königlichen Musikkonservatorium in Brüssel, und dann in Antwerpen auf. Dort erhielt er insgesamt sechs erste Preise und das Diplom in Pädagogik.Das Aufbaustudium schloss er 1998 mit dem Master of Music für Tuba und das Dirigieren von Blasorchestern am Lemmens Institut in Leuven mit den höchsten Auszeichnungen ab.1990 wurde Moreau an die Musikakademie Tongeren und an das Musikkonservatorium Hasselt berufen. 1999 war er Gastprofessor am Konservatorium in Brüssel.Er begann das Dirigieren im sehr jungen Alter. Zurzeit leitet er die Heineken Brassband in Den Bosch und die „Concordia van 1839” Brassband in Hilvarenbeek wo er auch den nationalen Wettbewerb 2005 in der Kategorie für Fortgeschrittene gewann. Regelmäßig wird er auch immer wieder in die Jury von Wettbewerben und als Gastdirigent auf Festivals eingeladen. So trat er bereits in fast allen Europäischen Ländern und den USA auf.1997 und 2001 nahm Moreau erfolgreich an dem bedeutenden internationalen Dirigierwettbewerb dem World Music Competition (WMC) in Kerkrade (NL) teil. Seit 1998 arbeitet Moreau eng mit dem Beriato Verlag zusammen, der seine Werke für Blasorchester publiziert und ihn 2000 zu ihrem Musikdirektor für die CD-Aufnahmen nominierte. Auch hat er mit dem Rundfunk Brassband-Orchester in Leipzig, der Dänischen Konzertband, dem Groot Harmonieorchester van de Belgische Gidsen, der Swiss Symphonischen Wind Band, dem Flämischen Brassband-Orchester, dem Polizei Musikkorps in Baden-Württemberg, dem Blassband-Orchester des Antwerpener Konservatoriums und Belgian Brass etc. zusammen gearbeitet.
